All was handled extremely efficiently & professionally. Turned up, unloaded suitcases and went into reception to confirm arrival, received code for car parking area we were allocated too. Drove there and chose our own parking space. Took our car keys with us which really does give you peace of mind. Boarded coach to the terminal. Upon return boarded coach at terminal, went to reception to get exit code put cases in car and off we went. Happy customers.

Excellent experience for the 2nd time. APH are highly organised and check in is very easy and quick. I prefer to park my car and take my keys with me, which was very straightforward. The transfer buses are super regular and hardly any waiting time. Will definitely recommend APH and use them again.

We booked park and ride as there were no Self Park options when booking, however, when we arrived, the reception desk staff were very helpful and friendly and we upgraded for £20 to self park where you take your keys, giving us piece of mind that the car would not be moved, driven anywhere (heard some horror stories). Staff were very helpful, clear in directions and parked close to the reception, nice wide bays too so limits risk of other cars doors banging but I still took quick video of the car in case. Not they said if you self park you are under your own insurance rather than theirs with park and ride. Caught the bus to terminal - 10 mins (driver was very friendly and helped with suitcases). On arrival at Gatwick, the APH bus arrived withing 7mins waiting (sign posted too) and again very helpful driver lifting suitcases. At reception, I was expecting to wait for ages to get the exit code but they didn't need to see paperwork and gave exit code immediately (I texted our booking ref on arrival from plane as requested). We were out in 2 mins. Overall I would use APH again with self park - great to get the car and drive off especially on a very late arrival. Do be carefull that last arrivals get charged £15 extra if tips past 2.00AM however, if you booking it later then shouldn't be a problem and pay for that upfront.

I tried APH for the first time. The advertised price was about same as official Gatwick onsite parking, but I was using Tesco vouchers so it was cheaper for me. The self parking was fine, no damage to car. Overall it's a much nicer smaller parking lot that Gatwick onsite, all the staff were very polite and friendly. I would use them again. Quirky points: having to go into their office and overall enter digital codes on a keypad three times seems a little quaint. I guess the argument is they are savings costs by not having automatic numberplate recognition! On return, it took me just over 30 mins from arriving at pick up bus stop to getting to my car - I was unlucky to have JUST missed the bus, other people are likely to have a quicker time.

Directions

From the M23:

Leave at Junction 10 (East Grinstead).

If Southbound, take the 1st exit on the roundabout (A264 - Copthorne Way).

OR

If Northbound, take the 3rd exit on the roundabout (A264 - Copthorne Way).

THEN:

  1. Head straight over the first roundabout (2nd exit).
  2. At the next roundabout take the 4th exit (A2220) signposted Maidenbower.
  3. Continue on the A2220 following signs to APH Parking Centre.
  4. Drive past the Texaco Petrol Station (some SatNavs might direct you here).
  5. After another 0.25 miles turn right into Crawley Garden Centre. You'll see an APH entrance sign on your right.
  6. Follow APH signs to the car park check-in area.

Arrival instructions

Arriving at APH Gatwick Self Park couldn’t be easier:

  1. Drive through the automated barrier and follow road markings to the arrival bays.
  2. Head into reception and a member of staff will direct you to your parking space. 
  3. Park your car and hop on the transfer bus and complete the short journey to the airport.

Please ensure you allow sufficient time to complete your vehicle check-in and airport transfer.

Return instructions

Picking up your car is just as easy:

  1. Upon your return to the Airport, make your way to the dedicated bus stop outside the terminal and take the bus to the APH car park.
  2. Head into reception and get the barrier exit code.
  3. Return to your car and exit the car park.

In the event of any problems, one of the car park’s 24-hour staff will be pleased to assist.

Important information

Maximum vehicle height: 2.4m. Trailers are not accepted.

APH will accept any vehicle that can fit into a standard parking bay and can be driven on a standard driving licence.

APH are unable to transport bikes, surf/windsurfing boards or items of a similar size on their transfer coaches. Snowboards/skis are acceptable.

 

Security

APH Self Park boasts the best in car park technology. It has the latest computer controlled CCTV with over 120 camera locations and security lighting across the whole site as well as barrier controlled entry and exit gates, meaning your car will be well looked after. 

Disabled facilities

Our friendly staff are always happy to help if you require a little additional assistance. Please press the button when you reach the entry barrier under the canopy if you do need some extra help. 

The buses are wheelchair friendly, and we can cater for those with reduced mobility by allocating a parking space close to the bus drop off area if needed. 

Transfer details

Transfers from the car park leave approximately every 10 to 15 minutes and takes between 10 to 12 minutes. The transfer is included in your price and will generally take passengers to the South Terminal first before heading over to the North Terminal and then back to the car park. The buses run through the night so you’ll be able to get to the airport whenever you need to.

      • If you don’t cancel or update your booking before your arrival time, we’ll need to charge you for the full booking. Also, please be aware that we can’t offer refunds if you return earlier than planned.
    4. Booking Adjustments:
      • If you make changes to your booking and the price changes, we’ll either charge or refund the difference based on the adjustments.
